Rob Goldsmith, an acclaimed Cheltenham artist is busy training for the Cheltenham Half Marathon (13.1 miles) which takes place on Sunday 27th September 2015.
Rob explained, ‘I ran my first half marathon in 2013, and have decided to take the plunge once again, this time I’m running in aid of Rapha Medica Project. Two friends of mine have close links with the Nigerian surgeon Dr Paul Ushie and his wife Mary who is a Nurse and Midwife who have given their lives to manage this hospital.
I’ve been running the Cheltenham Park Run each Saturday morning over the summer, and playing football 2 or 3 times a week to try to maintain my fitness.
Over the next month I will do a few 10 miles runs and nearer to the big day I will stock up on pasta!!
If you would like to sponsor me, that would be really great, my lovely wife Rachael has set up a link so you can sponsor me online.
It is a privilege to run in aid of Rapha.’
Please support Rob, the funds raised will go towards providing essential medical care to men, women and children of the Mambilla Plateau.
