In a week of rain clouds and cool temperatures, our prayers were answered with a warmer Saturday which became dry just in time for our long planned garden party. More than that, the sun eventually came out, justifying the confidence of some to wear summer dresses.
On offer; live music courtesy of Bob Thomas, a raffle with superb prizes, range of stalls including books, a plant sale and bric-a-brac, for children; a lucky dip, bouncy castle, outdoor jenga and other games. Tea, cakes and pims abound. The event raised £400 to benefit the work of Rapha Medical Outreach in Nigeria.
We owe special thanks to a number of local businesses and organisations; Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park , Kimberly Mills Hair Stylist , Hoo House Nursery and the Plant Centre who made donations of prizes and plants, not forgetting Crazy Fun Castles Limited, who donated our superb bouncy castle cake which the children joyfully bounced on all afternoon.
